Snow Day

So today is a snow day, yet another day out of this week that I have off. I am a very happy girl. I did better on my Biology test than last time. With Math, I brought it up to a 90% so that made me happy as well. I received my Phi Theta Kappa package yesterday and got a certificate, pin and members card.

Grandma's toe amputation went well. I want to go and see her but with the snow and the Xterra being used by my fiancee I can't really do much in that aspect. Anyway I should probably get some housework done before I get too lazy. Also I want to start putting pictures on here, so here are some recent ones.

A much needed 3 day weekend, but only for school. I will have Monday off still from both work and school so I guess 1 day of rest will be nice. I am kind of falling behind in Math because I am not understanding the problems. I hate when this happens, stumped by a chapter and can't move on because you need to understand the what your stuck on to understand what is next. I had a Biology test on Friday, I don't feel like I did well.

I am pretty down today because I found out my Grandma has to have a toe amputated. She was told a long time ago that she was no longer healthy enough for surgeries, so I am worried. I am sure things will be fine but I just can't help but feel like I should do something. My Mom isn't going to be out here any time this month because of lack of funds. I am slowly getting more and more depressed as the days wear on and hoping that I will be able to make it though Spring quarter with at least a C for at least 2 classes, I will be very bummed if I do not do better than that. And no I don't believe I will be getting any better than that grade besides PE and First Aid which is an easy A. I need to take a nap...

Today was my registration day for Spring. I went with Japanese III at 9 am, Creative Writing I at 10 am and Psychology of Human Relations at 11 am. The first 2 classes I will be taking with a friend, so I am not too worried about being alone and not having the right information in class. Psychology however, as far as I know, I am alone in and am hoping to make at least one friend. I say this because in Biology and Business Math right now I have no one in class that I talk to and it is very easy for me to misunderstand things. At the moment I need to continue making my Biology notes; I received a 50/50 grade for the first half of the Lab Manual so I am very happy about that.

I used the Degree Audit on the SPSCC website and with all the classes I am signed up for, I am 49 out of 90 credits in for the Associates in Arts Degree. Which puts me more than half way done with the Degree itself. I am anxious to hear if I got into the Dental Assisting Program because it will allow me to know which route to take for the rest of the school year until the next opening. I have a few back up plans for if certain events take place.

It has been a nice day off from school because of Advising Day. I hung out with a friend today when I probably should have been working on catching up with notes and other school stuff but I don't really get days off anymore so I am going to have fun.

I am currently writing my outline for Biology in hopes that me doing this will make for a better grade on the next test which is on the 14th. I swear, the man is a great teacher and knows what he is talking about but the test is straight from the book and we don't touch the book in class. I am hoping that my Lab Manual is going to be graded nicely. I am hoping that he didn't expect us to touch anything that wasn't touched during actual Lab days. I got a few of the straggler times done but did not finish some because they did not make any sense to me. I am worried about my Math test because I am not understanding how to do a chapter so I will have to try to figure it out on my own. My helper is currently unable to help me for some reason and so that doesn't help at all.

I should get back to working on those notes. Oh and I decided to do the Creative Writing class aka English 236, because I don't think my mind can handle Business Math straight to Basic Algebra.

So far classes are going well. I squished my finger in PE while trying to adjust the seat on the peck deck. Biology is interesting but I am still trying to figure out how to study for the upcoming test on the 14Th. I didn't get to find out my current test score in Math because my teacher has been sick and we have a test next week.

I am in the middle of figuring out my Spring quarter classes because my registration is on the 10Th at 12pm. So far I thought I figured everything out then I get thrown a tempting curve ball. To elaborate, the original class rundown would be Math 94 at 8am, Japanese 123 at 9am, and Psychology at 11am. But what I find interesting now is that if I just hold Math off until Summer with the Dental classes I could get another Humanities class out of the way and take English 236 at 10am and be able to sleep in more. If I end up getting more hours in the week at AMPM and its the 2-10 schedule then I am going to need as much sleep as possible so that is a very useful schedule. I have quite a bit to think about, not forgetting to mention that I will have a friend in the 10am class. Hmm decisions decisions.
