Poopyness

Had my doctors appointment on Friday 7/27. Things are fine, but thanks to all my stress I had the choice of either sleep aids or antidepressants. I chose the latter. It's been a trip these last few days. First 3 I was passing out all over the place. 4th day I was jittery and antsy as hell. Now I'm getting better but still getting used to it. I'll have another appointment on the 13th to figure more out and also to set up updates for my shots.

Week 4 Complete

So I learned some extra organization tips for when the program gets harder. Need to make a run to Staples for supplies. I can no longer find my favorite type of pen and that saddens me because my notes are suffering.

The Facebook page we made is great. We are adding to it and creating a very helpful environment. Glad to make friends with people who are dedicated.

Fighting a cold, feeling extra tired and coughing to high heaven. But luckily I have 4 days till class again and 1 more day of work. Yay?!

Oh snap

We just had a small glimpse into what Fall quarter will look like and it will suck. Weekly changes and big time overloads. One can only wonder how the hell am I going to be able to do this without losing my mind.  I will get through this, I have too. One of my classmates made a Facebook page just for our year, I am excited to be able to share info and hopefully learn better with the help of the others.

Weekend fun - Ugh Monday

This weekend we went to the ORV park and enjoyed that. Got to take a lot of naps and catch up on my readings for school. So I'd say a good weekend.

Today felt so drawn out, Dent 101 was quick but the quiz was horrible. A lot of us had issues with it so hopefully we can have some sort of extra credit. Then in lab, I can not get my time for set up under 5 minutes. I don't know why but I'm really pissed about it. Plus I feel like shibby for some reason. My sides hurt and I feel drained. Just an overall icky day.

Week 3 Complete

Monday: Quiz was pretty simple. I finished it in 5 minutes.  We started learning more names for teeth and then a few names  for the facial features.  Lab was fun, the evaluation was easy and I scored great.

Tuesday & Wednesday: The second quiz was harder, and we are in a bit of an information overload.  So many things to know about diseases and people and infection control.  Next week is going to be rough.

Otherwise it's an ok week.  My mom helped me out and got me new jeans because mine are old.  Gotta love family!

Week 2 Complete

Well first of all, my BF came back a bit bruised but very happy he went.  He now wants to live in Canada because the people there are way nicer than the people in the US.  Being from Guam, I think anywhere other than the US has nice people... Honestly your all kinda dicks, just saying.  But he is sad he is back and really wants to go.

Week 2 has concluded and I had my first Quiz on Monday.  I think it went well.  Lab was a bit of a chore, we placed all the barriers around the operatory. Practiced placing PPE's (Personal Protective Equipment) and hand washing again.  We learned about all types of infection/disease causing microorganisms.  It was an interesting week, bit overwhelming but good.

4 days

I am without my BF because he is up in Whistler, Canada. So, I have my sister and brother with me. Today we plan on cleaning up the apartment as much as possible. It's not that I am lazy, it's that I have no help. I can't move many things without getting back pains. I miss my BF so much!!! My siblings and I are trying to figure out what to eat because I have nothing to eat here. I only have about $3 to my name and I am just saddened that right now things are so tight.

My sis-in-law has been in the News Tribune and The Olympian these past two weeks because of her small business. I think it is awesome! So to support I am posting a link here and on my Promotions side. Her mini pies are awesome and so are the other desserts she makes.

My schoolwork is not suffering I am glad to say. I finished a lot at work on July 4th. I was, and still am, pissed that it wasn't holiday pay either. "Wishful thinking" I was told. AMPM gave me holiday pay!

Week 1 Complete

I am so far enjoying the classes, but it is the first week of school. I have a bit of homework and the teachers are really nice.

I now close Wednesday and Thursday for the next couple weeks, so that is a bit of a surprise. Pier 1 is a no go. Bit sad about that. But I have to roll with the punches.

Summer 12'

Tomorrow is the start of my Summer Dental classes. I am excited and also not exactly ready. First class starts at 8 am and then a lab at 1 pm. The day will end at about 3:30 pm so Mondays are going to be a long one. I haven't had the patience to do my homework so I have until tomorrow night to do it. Least it will be fresh in my mind right?

As for work, still no word from Pier 1. Shell is probably going to let me go or make me quit. It's not worth the hassle when they are the ones who messed up.

Interesting night

Been a long time since I went to "band practice" and I was enjoying myself. Drank a bit and had some awesome ribs, corn and rolls. Jess is an amazing cook. I then somehow got talking about how my tattoo needs to be fixed and had it done minutes later. Was in a bit of shock and was ill but that sobered me up. My BF is pissed at me but all around good night, except for the sick part!
